These filter pads are designed specifically to fit the OASE BioTec® and OASE BioSmart® filters.

Which Filter Do I Have?

OASE has had three generations of gravity filters. Gen 1 was the BioTec 5 10 30 filters. Gen 2 was the BioTec 5.1 10.1 12 filters. Gen 3 is the Biosmart 5000 10000 filters.

• BioTec 5 10 30 were made between 2003-2005.
• BioTec 5.1 10.1 12 were made between 2005-2014.
• BioSmart 5000 10000 were made 2015 onwards.

  Important Information

  Number of filter pads required:

  • The BioSmart 5000 uses 4 pads: 2 blue, 1 red, and 1 green
  • The BioSmart 10000 uses 9 pads: 4 blue, 4 red, and 1 green
  • The BioTec 5.1 uses 4 pads: 2 blue, 1 red, and 1 green
  • The BioTec 10.1 uses 9 pads: 4 blue, 4 red, and 1 green
  • The BioTec 5 uses 4 pads:  2 blue and 2 red
  • The BioTec 10 uses 9 pads: 4 blue and 5 red
